I am probably not the only one receiving an email from Code42 today about the fact that CrashPlan for Home is going to go away. Currently, I back up eight computers holding over 5 TB of data for $14/mo. If I simply transitioned to CrashPlan for business, this cost would explode to $80/mo, which is almost six times as much. The other alternative they offer is a transition to Carbonite. Their service costs $75/y, which will amount in my case to $50/mo, which is still three and a half times as much as with CrashPlan for Home currently. Their computer-to-computer backup is going away, as well.
Do any of you have a suggestion for viable economical alternatives?
