Before I begin, yes, I've already contacted my doctor, and I'm awaiting his response.
Last week, I woke up multiple times during the night due to a very strong smell of ammonia. It was all over my house. Everywhere. I got on my bike and started in to work, and noticed that the smell of ammonia was still present. I got to the gym, and noticed the smell still present.
Hmm.
The smell continued on and off throughout the day. It then continued through the week, stronger on some days, absent on others. A few searches seem to point out two/three causes:
* Fungus in the nose. Although, this would be much more constant apparently.
* My body is metabolizing protein instead of carbs. This could be from my own muscles (unlikely), or from not eating enough starches/carbs (more likely). Apparently there's some process of making ammonia in the body that makes ammonia that comes out in sweat and urine.
Now, I ask, has anyone else experienced this? Or, am I at the beginning of a downward spiral towards mutating into a superhero with the power of Clean?
Any help will be apprecited.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
